Rayne Amateur Boxing Club is offering non-contact boxing sessions for young people aged 11 to 19.

Essex Boys and Girls Clubs, which runs the project, is working with schools and the Rayne Community Safety Team to recruit children and teenagers, particularly those at risk and young offenders, to take part.

The free sessions will run every Wednesday from October 15 until mid December from 6pm to 8pm at the club’s base in Queenborough Lane.

Participants will be taught the basics of boxing and life skills including confidence building, motivation and respect.

Some will be chosen to complete a boxing tutor course.

All boxing kit will be provided.
