These are the sickening pictures of a dad’s horrific injuries after acid was thrown in his face in an apparent random attack.
The new pictures, released by Essex Police this week, show how 56-year-old Wayne Ingold looked after two men chucked acid over him, when he went to check his post at a block of flats in Bramble Road, Witham last month.
One of the men was kicking the door of the communal entrance and when dad-of-two Mr Ingold opened it, a second man sprayed him with the liquid from what looked like a sports bottle.
The pictures, which were taken by Mr Ingold’s friend while he was receiving initial treatment at Broomfield Hospital’s burns unit, shows injuries to Mr Ingold’s face, arms, hands and to the back of his head.
