Children had football lessons with a twist.
The youngsters were given a lesson on sport in the Victorian era, followed by a coaching session with Braintree Town Football Club’s Carl Pentney and two of the club’s coaches.
Braintree District Museum and the Iron organised the morning at the Discovery Centre in Great Notley Country Park last Wednesday.
Claudine Bone, visitor services, events and retail officer at the museum, said: “The morning was absolutely brilliant and the football club and coaches were so supportive to the children and the staff.”
