Doctors have won their ten year fight to build a surgery triple the size of their cramped and ageing building.

Mount Chambers Surgery in Coggeshall Road, Braintree, is currently the most needy surgery in mid Essex and the smallest for the number of patients it has.

But it hopes to increase patient numbers from 13,000 to 16,000 and train more GPs with a new site behind Braintree Town Hall.

It will become of the largest in the district.
