Travellers move onto Eastways Industrial estate

First published in News

Travellers have sparked concerns after moving onto Eastways Industrial estate, Witham, earlier this week.

In April, there was uproar after police said they did not have sufficient powers to remove the handful of travellers who arrived on the same estate.

They were later moved on but caused one business to have to shut for three days.

A group of about seven traveller caravans arrived at midday on Monday.

I work next door and they were only their two days before they moved on and I would rather they were parked up on some smelly industrial estate than near my house

OMPITA [Intl] says...

If they arrived on Monday, and (according to what we are told by 'F A') were long gone by Thursday or Friday why is the BWT story published on Sunday implying that they are still in-situ?

I'm guessing that there is a link between this story and the one on BWT today (Monday) about a traveller gathering in Colchester for a wedding?
