Chelmsford City Racecourse is almost ready for its first races.
The racecourse, formerly Great Leighs Racecourse, has not held a race in seven years after going into administration nine months after it first opened in April 2008.
In December the all weather course was bought by Great Leighs Estates, a collaboration between Betfred tycoon Fred Done and media partners SIS and Bet Solutions International.
They have announced that the £6million grandstand they are building will be ready in November.
