A group of community-spirited youngsters have improved a popular pond.
The 14 teenagers from the National Citizen Service (NCS), a youth project aimed at developing their skills and also assisting the local community, started work on Coggeshall duck pond, in Bridge Street, last Wednesday.
James Sullivan, 16, of Witham, said: “Three of the members are from Coggeshall so they came up with the idea of improving the pond and as a group we decided exactly what needed doing when we got there."
