Two Scottish terriers have become some of the world’s most famous pooches after they opened the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

All eyes were on two-year-old Mac and Misty, aged 18 months, as they stole the show at the opening ceremony, watched by people from around the world.

Accompanied by owners Elizabeth and Graham Meek, who live off London Road in Braintree, the Scotties led out athletes from several countries for their lap of Celtic Park to mark the opening of the games.
