Patients accused a doctor’s surgery of stifling free speech after it warned them not to air grievances on social media.
St Lawrence Medical Practice in Bocking End, Braintree, put signs up in its waiting room which said comments on Facebook or Twitter may be in breach of its “zero tolerance policy.”
Patient Natasha Pachent, 40, of High Street, Braintree, said: “I think people have got a right to say what they want, it’s free speech.
“I think it would probably threaten an older person, but it isn’t going to threaten me.
“I am going to tell the truth and there is an old saying - the truth hurts.”
