A city worker who kept a diary of despair after being left stranded at a station 18 times in eight weeks has hit out at the train companies behind the delays.
Nathalie Rose, 48, of Evelyn Wood, Cressing, recorded the incidents over 47 working days as she travelled between Cressing and Liverpool Street.
She said: “I am definitely being ripped off, it is farcical."
Witham and Braintree Rail Users’ Association chairman David Bigg said: “We have got to the point now where there are buses on standby every day at Witham ready to take people on to Cressing and Braintree."
