Overnight work to resurface several Witham roads is set to go ahead in September.
Essex County Council has issued an advisory notice to motorists ahead of work on a section of the B1389, in Colchester Road from The Avenue to Freebournes Road.
County councillor Rodney Bass, cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: “These works are necessary to bring the road up to optimum standard for motorists.
“There will be some delays and advisory diversions will be in place.
“Drivers are advised to plan travel and delivery arrangements accordingly and to take an alternative route where possible.”
The works are due to take place between 8pm and 6am to minimise disruption, on the following days: September 15: The Avenue to Avenue Road
September 16-17: Avenue Road to Crittall Road
September 18-19: Crittall Road to Freebournes Road
October 31- November 2: Freebournes Road junction Roads will be closed to all through traffic during planned works to ensure safety, according to a county council spokesman.
