Braintree residents suffering from aches and pains could soon be feeling a lot happier when a Thai massage parlour opens on the high street.

An application has been made for a change of use at the former photography studio at 77 High Street and the new owners have been busy kitting it out.

The premises will offer traditional Thai massage, which can last for two hours or more and includes rhythmic pressing and kneading of various parts of the body.

Thai massage has been claimed to relieve symptoms of anxiety, asthma and emotional tensions as well as migraines, sprains and bruises.
