A Braintree nurse is planning to run a half marathon to raise money for a cancer charity.

Taryn Archer, 23, of Chadwick Drive, is taking part in the Royal Parks half marathon in October for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Miss Archer, who works at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, said she decided to support the chairity after seeing the care Marie Curie nurses provided to her patients once they left the her hospital ward.

Taryn said: “It is a great relief to know that when my patients are discharged from hospital they are continued to be cared for by the fantastic Marie Curie nurses."
