A Braintree schoolgirl put her herself in the frame to win a bike and rode off with the top prize.
Gosfield Primary School pupil Nina Penrose, 7, entered a competition to design a bike to mark the Tour de France coming to Essex.
The competition was run by Saffron Building Society and Newdales cycle shop of Saffron Walden.
Jon Hall, CEO of Saffron Building Society, said: “We especially liked Nina’s sunny and cheerful design, the rainbow seat and pom-pom handlebars really made us smile.”
