A musician who takes his influence from Pink Floyd and the Kinks is coming to Braintree.

Southminister based Jon Greaves did his first gig in 1989 and since then has played around the UK and abroad in Netherlands and the Channel Islands.

Jon, who is nicknamed Greavesey, is playing in Braintree as part of his 2014 tour, the Full Greavesey 25th Anniversary Tour.

He will be supporting RetroVox, an Essex-based, four-piece covers band which plays the hits of the fifties and sixties.

There will be a beer tent and hot food available and last year the event saw more than 150 people enjoy themselves.

Jon and Tom will be performing next Saturday (Aug 16) at the Roundwood Garden Centre, Church Street, Braintree from 6.45pm with Retrovox taking over from 8pm. Tickets are priced at £5 for adults with under 12s going free.
