A badly-spelt road sign bemused drivers and pedestrians by including no fewer than four mistakes.
Anglian Water’s ten-word signs sparked ridicule on Thursday by stating Panfield Lane would be closed from ‘Coldnallhurst’ Avenue to ‘Tabour Collage’, which has been called Tabor Academy since 2013.
Signs on Rayne Road and Coldnailhurst Avenue featured the same spelling errors.
Essex Highways confirmed they “played no part” in the construction of the signs.
A spokesman from Anglian Water said the mistake was down to human error and said they weren’t checked properly at the production stage.
