Brother hopes to solve the mystery over his sibling's death

First published in News by , Reporter

A distraught man is hoping to solve the mystery surrounding his brother’s death.

Retired Bob Upson, 70, who grew up in Witham and now lives in Heybridge, is appealing for information from anyone who may have seen his brother Derek, 64, in the weeks or months before his death in September last year.

Bob claims he was told by police that his brother, who lived alone in Bramston View in Mill Lane, Witham, actually died in the May but was not found until four months later.

But Bob, who said that his brother was known for being “secretive” and “kept himself to himself”, has unanswered questions and hopes that one last effort to find out what happened could lead to the truth.
