Plans to relocate a special needs school three miles to a larger two storey building on an industrial estate have been approved.

Edith Borthwick School, which caters for youngsters with learning disabilities aged three to 19, wants to move because its current site in Church Street, Bocking, is cramped.

It was built in 1976 and can take up to 160 pupils, but relocating the school to Springwood Drive in Braintree will create an extra 30 spaces.
