A bus stop gained an unusual new facility when someone dumped a toilet in a shelter on Allectus Way, Witham.

It is believed the loo was left at the stop on Friday, July 18, minus the all-essential plumbing.

Garth Jackson-Smith, of Witham, tweeted a picture at the weekend and said: “Great new service offered at our local bus stop in Witham. #anyonegotanewspaper?

Ah well, it will very likely come in handy when the ‘Travellers’ pitch up on the green between Deford Road and Philip Road.

Are you going to place a welcome vase of flower s there Bhudeeka? That would be a nice friendly gesture on behalf of the citizens of Witham. Rather twee I think!

Some nice Red Chrysanthemums might convey an appropriate message don’t you think? But I do venture to suggest that you should avoid Lavender – don’t want to offend anyone do we? (Not that you ever would!)
