A village has published a document which will help to guide Braintree Council over future planning decisions.
Residents in Panfield began working on their village design statement (VDS) in March 2012 and posted it through letter boxes last week.
The VDS details Panfield’s history, amenities, demographics and the views of current residents about what should happen in the future.
Parish councillor Anne Cole said: “The village as a whole do not want major, large developments, but there is nowhere to do them anyway.
“It’s all about how the village moves forward without making too many changes, because we love our village.”
