Organisers breathed a sigh of relief after the weather stayed nice for the Coggeshall Carnival.
More than ten floats and walking floats made their way from Honywood School, Coggeshall, making its way towards the recreation ground off East Street where there was a fair.
Hazel Picknell-Stride, president of the Coggeshall Carnival Association, said: “We were a little disappointed by the lack of public support, but those who did turn up had a great time.
“The floats were great and there were some people lining the route as well.
“We were very lucky that the rain held off and I think the forecast and thunder that night put a lot of people off which is a shame.”
