A new nursery school offering 66 places for children and 22 jobs is being built in Witham.

The new Gershwin Park Nursery School, in Gershwin Boulevard, Witham, will be open by January next year.

The privately-owned nursery, operated by Seymour House Day Nursery Schools, will be open from Monday to Friday and provide care for children aged three months to five years old.

A statement on behalf of the nursery group, which also runs nurseries in Basildon, Colchester, Chelmsford, Laindon and Wickford, said: “Seymour House Day Nursery Schools have been providing outstanding education and care for over 25 years and are delighted to be joining the community in Witham."
