A woman has been left shaken after witnessing her terrier “clamped” in the jaws of a vicious dog being walked by a child.
Kira Smith, 18, of Rustic Close, Braintree, was walking her Yorkshire terrier cross Toby on King George’s playing field off Cressing Road on July 9 when the Staffordshire terrier type dog attacked.
Miss Smith said the “muscly” brindle-coloured dog bit Toby just above his back leg, drawing blood, and would not let go until Miss Smith shouted at it and shooed it away.
She said: “I want people to know this dog is going around with a minor and isn’t wearing a lead or muzzle.”
