A pair of Braintree ladies can finally put their feet up after completing a 24 hour London to Brighton trek to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Marise Franklin and Siobhan Stapleton walked through the night to complete the 105 kilometre challenge, starting at Sandown race course at 8am and finishing at 7.45am the next morning at Brighton race course.
The ladies finished in the top 40 of 882 starters.
Miss Franklin said: "We had trained for months, part of which included the London Moonwalk straight onto the Farleigh Hospice Walk for Life.
“We're thrilled to have completed the trek and incredibly grateful for all the support and sponsorship we have received."
The pair have raised £2000 through on and offline donations.
Sponsorship can still be given by going to justgiving.com/marise-franklin.
