Police want to hear from anyone with information about four bikes which were stolen during a burglary at a house.

Thieves broke into the house in Camborne Close, Chelmsford, between midnight and 8am on Friday July 4.

They got in via the rear patio door and made a tidy search before taking the bikes from the property.

The stolen items include a brown, 17 and a half inch frame Cotic Simple mountain bike with Nuke Proof black carbon forks and disc brakes; a white, 16 inch frame Sanderson Soloist mountain bike with Shimano black carbon forks and disc brakes; a blue 16 inch frame Genesis High Latitude mountain bike with white Rockshox forks with disc brakes and 29 inch wheels; and a blue On-One Pompino road bike, with brown metallic forks and SRAM V brakes.

It is likely the thieves would have needed a van or similar vehicle to transport the bikes and police would also like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the relevant time.

They can call DC Ray Hull at Chelmsford CID on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
