A12 Karting and Quasar centre closes with 15 job loses

Braintree and Witham Times: Children's parties had to be cancelled Children's parties had to be cancelled

Fifteen people have lost their jobs following the closure of a go-karting venue.

A12 Karting and Quasar, based in freebournes Road, Witham, was one of the country's biggest indoor karting venues but closed on June 22 when the landlord sold the site to Essex County Council.

Ron Dawson, director of Essex Karting Ltd, said: “We contacted every single deposit holder the day that we learned we had been served notice by the landlord.

“It has been a very difficult time for everybody. The directors are the biggest losers of all.”
