'Crooks left my son in tears'

Braintree and Witham Times: Tracy Warner with her son Thomas Tracy Warner with her son Thomas

A mum has condemned thieves who stole her three-year-old son’s mini motocross bike, worth £200.

Tracy Warner, 29, was shocked to discover that thieves had taken the yellow and blue Peewee 50 along with a pedal bike with stabilisers, belonging to her son Thomas, from her shed in Sarcel, Stisted, overnight between Friday and Saturday.

The mum-of-two said the theft has left her son devastated and he had been “crying his eyes out” since his bikes were stolen.

She said: “My husband went outside on Saturday morning and when he came back he said we had been burgled, I couldn’t believe it."

See this week's Braintree and Witham Times for the full story.

Does that mean he deserves to have it stolen? What a stupid comment!

That's a terrible thing to say. Perhaps as a mother of young children she doesn't work and instead looks after her kids. Or perhaps she does work. What does it matter? I do think such a bike for a 3 year old is a bit odd though

The article says her husband went out to the shed. Perhaps he works whilst she looks after her family?

incidentally a "PeeWee" is a common term for a Yamaha PW50. Why can't the BWT get basic facts right in their reporting.

No Bhudeeka - the child does not work. She is only three years old for goodness sake!

I really do think that if you are going to continue in your self-appointed role as the ‘be all and end all authority’ on what is so wrong with the social fabric of your host country you should at least acquire a reasonable level of competence with the written form of the English language. That way you might avoid creating so much anger and derision each time you press the BWT ‘Post Comment’ button, thereby imposing so much venom, ambiguity and sheer nonsense upon us all.

As for instantly judging a person based on how they look in a photograph, just how damning an indictment is that on your personality and frame of mind? I’m minded to think you might have done rather well seventy or eighty years ago in certain parts of Europe not too far removed from the quintessential rural English countryside that you so sloppily generate so much drivel about. Shame on you!

Whilst we are on the subject of judging people by how they look I regret that having never had the pleasure of actually meeting you (Oh; how I do hanker for an invitation to one of your summer soirees) and in the absence of any other illustrative form depicting your lovely self, the only picture I have of you is a mental one formed though having read so much of what you have to say.

I’m sad to report however that it is not a particularly pretty sight. Indeed, there have been many occasions - whilst drifting through the ‘Never Never Land’ that spans the misty landscape between blissful sleep and the realities of full waking consciousness – when I have encountered my own cognitively generated portrait of you. Let’s just say it has cost me dearly in much lost sweat and attacks of the Night Terrors!

How about you show some compassion and put me out of my misery? Just send a photo (Signed WL&K?) to the BWT Editor. I am sure he will be so kind as to pass it on to me.

Prove to me how wrong I am in imagining you as a nasty and pernicious old crone based on a cross between Widow Twanky and Cruella De Vil.

I shall await the post with much excited anticipation.

He can't have been that upset, he looks like he is almost smiling in this picture! No child of his age should have such things anyway! Why do people insist on making their children grow up so quickly! It really annoys me

Thank you for your kind comments Noggynoo.

I'm very surprised that someone should have seen fit to give you a 'negative score'.

I do rather suspect that a gnarled and bony old finger somewhere in the Humber Road region may have given the 'thumbs down' button a jolly good poke.

Rumour has it that Bhudeeka has a special version of the BWT on-line edition which has a picture of me and all she has to do to register a 'minus' is to prod me in the eye.

OUCH!
