Three caring people lost their hair for a good cause.

Hayley Barker, 26, of Silver End and Leanne Pavitt, 19, of Dunmow, who both work at Busy Bee Nursery, Galleys Corner, Braintree Road, Cressing cut off their long locks and donated them to the Princess Trust, which makes wigs for those who lose their own hair due to cancer.

Mat Howard, 44, of Halstead, also had his legs waxed to raise sponsorship money for the same charity.

Clare Scoulding, of Luxurious Hair and Beauty who organised and carried out the hair shave and leg wax, said: "We have raised £300 so far and the parents were very supporting. We are still hoping for money to come in and we are keeping the just giving page open."

They are hoping to raise £350 which covers the cost of one wig.
