A police car has been involved in an car crash in Stebbing.

The marked police car and black VW Polo were in collision at a junction near Collops Villas, Stebbing at 2.30pm today.

One car has left the road and one person was trapped by their injuries, but they were freed by fire crews just after 3.30pm.

The 17-year-old passenger of the Polo was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured wrist and the police driver was also taken to hospital but was not thought to be seriously injured.

The 17-year-old driver of the Polo will be reported for careless driving.
