Braintree and Witham Times: Children's doctor at Addenbrookes Hospital charged with a string of sexual offences Children's doctor at Addenbrookes Hospital charged with a string of sexual offences

A specialist children’s doctor has been charged with a string of sexual offences against young boys.

Dr Myles Bradbury, who worked at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge as a consultant paediatric haematologist, will appear in court tomorrow.

The hospital has set up a hotline for worried parents, some of whom live in North Essex, and has written to those whose children were treated by the doctor to make them aware of the allegations.

The 41-year-old doctor of The Street, Herringswell, Bury St Edmunds, faces seven counts of sexual assault against children, one count of voyeurism and one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

He is also charged with two counts of making 16,629 indecent images of children and 20 films.

All of the charges, except the making of indecent images, are said to have taken place in Cambridgeshire- it has not been confirmed if any took place at the hospital.

Bradbury was arrested on December 30, 2013, and charged on June 20.

It is understood he no longer works at the Trust and has not done so for six months.

A Cambridge University Hospitals spokesman said: “We cannot comment on the allegations until the court hearing.”
