A junior tennis club have been praised for funding a vital defibrillator for their premises.
The equipment will be installed at Braintree lawn tennis club’s clubhouse this week.
The club in Clockhouse Way, Braintree, caters for tennis players of all ages and chairman Graham Legg is pleased to see the younger players looking out for their elders.
He said: “You hear so many bad things about young people that I think it’s important the club is recognised for such a nice gesture.
“The fundraising has all been done by the junior club for something that could be vital for our older members.”
