A distraught mum, whose eight-month-old daughter died from cancer, has made an official complaint after she claimed her girl’s fatal illness was missed.
Indi-Rose Byford died in her parent’s arms after suffering from an aggressive tumour which twisted around her spine, stopping her legs from working.
Mum Sharne Stanley, 26, took her to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford several times before the diagnosis but claimed doctors told her it was a common cold and she was being an “over-the-top mother”.
