The Kelvedon and Feering Carnival has celebrated another successful year.

Four floats and three more groups on foot took part in the annual carnival which is organised by the scouts and also features the guides, beavers and local cheerleaders.

The theme was World War One and the floats included a cardboard tank and the women’s land army.

More than 300 people turned up to the fete held at the scout hut after the procession, where people enjoyed coconut shies, bouncy castles, stalls and archery.

Mark Lesley, who has organised the event for the last ten years, said: “It was a great day and everyone enjoyed themselves.

“The weather was good which always helps.”
