A barn at the rear of the Fox and Raven pub, Chelmsford is alight.

Three resilience applications were sent at about 12.40pm today to the fire, on Barnes Mill Road, which is comletely well alight.

On arrival, the incident commander reported that the blaze involves a barn measuring some 25m by 5m.

At about 1.15pm hrs, the incident commander reported that the fire is now surrounded and that steady progress is being made in bringing the blaze under control. Crews in breathing apparatus are using three hose reel jets and one main jets as firefighting operations continue.

This incident brings the total number to four since the strike began at 10am today.
