BUDDING photographers have been displaying their best work from this year at the College at Braintree.

The exhibition, which has a theme of ‘Unseen’, challenged level one BTEC students, level two and three diploma students and level three BTEC extended diploma students to experiment with tea and coffee staining, 3D presentations and projections.

Students also got to grips with using liquid light - a process which enabled them to print photographs onto objects using a darkroom.

Maddison Hooper, 18, who has completed her first year of the level three UAL Diploma in Photography said: “The theme for my photography is man’s encroachment into the natural world and the impact on wildlife.

“I created transparent images on acetate then layered up each image before taking the final photograph.”

Fellow student Hannah Gold, 18, said:“My photographs combine the qualities of water, air and light and have been described as spiritual and meditative.”

The end-of-year display runs from Monday 16 to Friday 20 June from 10am to 4pm and admission is free.
