A Witham mum is urging a housing association to tidy up an “eyesore” pond outside her house before it becomes a dumping ground.
Retired Denise Austin, 64, of Forest Road, Witham, feels the land opposite her house has been “left to rack and ruin” for years after it was once known as the jewel in the town’s crown.
Mrs Austin, who has lived in the town for 40 years, first brought up the problem in 2009 but said little has been done to rectify it.
She said: “Now it is full of willow trees because the children have pushed the trees down into it and there is just a tiny bit of water in it."
