A team of Braintree runners will be part of the attempt to break the Guinness world record for the longest continual relay.
The run will take place on June 28 around the 7,000km coast of the UK, with people running a stage and then passing on a specially made baton to the people in the next section.
Six people from Braintree will be running the stage from Clacton through to Great Oakley, led by personal trainer Jill Rush, 40, of Church Meadows who has trained them all.
She is also running to raise money for Motor Neurone disease.
