A Witham woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a man was stabbed.
Police officers, ambulance crews and the Essex Air Ambulance were called to Virgil Road, Witham shortly before 3.30pm on Sunday to a domestic-related incident.
The 31-year-old woman was arrested and later released on police bail to appear at Braintree Police Station on September 11.
Paramedics treated a man in his 40s before he was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital for further treatment.
