Oxfam is appealing for volunteers to provide support at its Witham charity shop in the Newlands precinct.

Branch manager Lol Barraclough said: "We're looking for enthusiastic part-time volunteers to join our friendly team. 

"There's plenty of variation when you volunteer at Oxfam - no two days are the same - and it's always very rewarding because it's such an amazing cause. 

"If people have previous retail experience, for example operating tills, creating window displays or stock-pricing, then that's great but it's not essential as we provide all the training and support that is needed.  Enthusiastic team players are what we're looking for."
