The Essex Pride event is set to take place on Sunday, July 6, midday until late, at Central Park in Chelmsford.

Essex Pride is an annual celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) life in Essex and beyond.

Tony Skeate, Essex Pride chairman, said: "Essex Pride is now in its eleventh year, and each event has been bigger and better than the last.

"We have got amazing entertainment planned for the day, along with useful demonstrations and lots of information available.

"The fantastic support we receive shows there is a strong LGBT community in Essex, and we are looking forward to hosting the celebrations.

"There is an exciting line up of live acts planned for the Pride Stage which is located inside our huge big top marquee.

"This includes fantastic performances from bands, solo artists and entertainers, along with dance music provided by our favourite DJs from the Essex scene.
