Residents' plea to Aldi after appeal is rejected
Shoppers are desperate for Aldi not to give up on plans after a planning appeal failed to find in the supermarket’s favour.
Aldi wants to open a store as part of the Maltings Lane development in Witham, which could create up to 20 jobs.
Estate resident Marie Yates, 39, said: “An Aldi would make a massive difference to us because we have to travel quite a way to Tesco.”
