A motorcyclist has been injured after his leg became trapped during a crash.

Road policing officers are appealing for witnesses after a black Suzuki motorcycle and an orange vehicle towing a trailer with a classic sports car collided on the A1245 Fairglen roundabout junction on Wednesday.

The crash, which happened at 8.30am, involved vehicles travelling to Chelmsford from Southend.

The 54-year-old motorcyclist’s leg was trapped when the orange vehicle, of unknown make, suddenly changed lanes.

The driver did stop long enough to disentangle the motorcycle from the trailer but then drove off without exchanging details.

The motorcyclist suffered a broken right foot and bruising.

Police want to hear from any motorists who witnessed the collision or the immediate aftermath.
