Farmers met with the Archbishop of Canterbury as the Church of England reaffirmed its support for the agricultural community.
The Most Rev Justin Welby joined farmers from across the county for lunch in Rayne on Saturday as part of a two-day visit to the Diocese of Chelmsford.
The event, which took place in The Old School Room, in Shalford Road, included small group discussions over lunch, an address by the Archbishop and a brief question and answer session.
It was organised by the Revd Julie Nelson, priest in charge at All Saints Church in Rayne and rural officer for the Diocese of Chelmsford.
