A trio of school workers braved the wind and rain in a midnight walking half marathon.

Witham friends Tracey Ledwell, Jo West and Sharon Mcnally, who all work at Howbridge infant and junior schools, in Howbridge Road, Witham, walked 13.1miles through London at midnight.

They joined thousands of others of bra-clad women last Saturday to raise more than £1,200 for breast cancer charity Walk The Walk.

Despite the cold wind, rain and pitch blackness, the trio kept their tops off throughout the course, which took them five hours to complete.
