Volunteers in Braintree received special praise in Parliament.
During a debate about volunteering in the House of Commons, volunteers at Braintree Foyer, Braintree Play and Resource Centre (PARC), Archer Community Centre and Braintree Mencap were all recognised by both Braintree MP Brooks Newmark and charities minister Nick Hurd.
Mr Newmark said thanking volunteers for their hard work was one of the best ways of encouraging volunteering and asked Mr Hurd to join him in praising those four in his constituency.
Mr Hurd said he “wholly endorsed” Mr Newmark’s words and congratulated the volunteers.
