A primary school hopes to install a new play area.
Stisted Primary School, in The Street, Stisted, has applied to Braintree Council to build a multi-use games area on a playing field so pupils can play sport in the summer.
A design and access statement said: “Currently the school does not have enough areas designed specifically for sports games such as basketball and football.
“They have a large playing field which is not set up suitably for these sort of games during the winter months of the year .”
The consultation period ends on May 28.
