Frustration after wing mirrors hit four times

First published in News

A family are getting frustrated after repeatedly having their wing mirrors hit by other drivers.

Katy Robinson, 25, and her partner Gavin Chapman, 31, of Panfield Lane, have had the wing mirrors on their X-Type Jaguar hit twice, and their Maxus LDV twice as well.

Miss Robinson, a full-time mum to Gracie, four, and one-year-old Connor, said: “We only moved into the house in November and already we have had this happen four times.

“It is very annoying and feels unfair as a bit further up the road they have a lay-by to park in so their cars are better protected."

This totally 'non-event' news story could have been turned into a really interesting item if only someone had had the initiative to pop along and obtain a photo or two depicting the relative disposition of their vehicles in relation to the remaining road width when they were parked up.

Readers might then have been be able to form their own opinion as to whether these occurrences were likely to be the result of selfish inconsiderate driving by others; or perhaps whether 'The Robinsons' have been pushing the boundaries and might realistically only have themselves to blame for causing a partial obstruction in the first place.

Mr Editor Sir, do crack the whip over the heads of your motley crew! One of them could so easily have been along Panfield Lane with a camera and back again in less time than it takes to whiz out for Pizza.
