Easter fun at Witham shopping centre draws in the crowds

First published in News

A shopping centre hosted an Easter extravaganza of stalls, circus skills and games today.

Arts and crafts stalls were set up in Newlands Shopping Centre in Witham, and the Witham Boys’ Brigade and its Our Witham hub for teenagers organised activities including puppeteering, challenges and facepainting.

The Churches Together in Witham Easter march of witness also held a service, following a procession through Newland Street.

Lizzie Blount, spokesman for the shopping centre, said: “It went really well. All of the feedback from the stalls was excellent, they said the custom was amazing.

“A lot of retailers said it added great atmosphere to the centre and it filled in the outside area nicely.”
