A community choir surprised visitors to London’s Southbank with an uplifting flash mob performance.

Funky Voices, including singers from the group’s Witham branch, took to the streets as part of the Southbank Centre’s Choras Festival.

Thousands of visitors stopped to watch as the group broke into song on Queen’s Walk outside the centre, performing a Take That Medley.

The group also sung music from their latest upbeat repertoire in the Riverside Terrace Cafe during their visit on April 6.

Funky Voices has branches all over Essex and Suffolk and consists of more than 800 singers, who learn music by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Elton John and more.

The Witham group rehearses every Wednesday, between 8pm and 10pm at The Spring Lodge Community Centre, Powers Hall End, Witham.
