Walkers enjoyed a beautiful sponsored walk for charity.

The Rotary Club’s annual sponsored walk on Saturday saw £1,800 raised for Essex Air Ambulance as they took a charming three mile walk along the banks of the River Brain, starting in Maldon Road Park.

The 18 participants were joined by Witham Mayor Corinne Thompson.

Organiser Brian Olley said: “I suggested that we did a sponsored walk seven years ago and we have been running it ever since.

“We were lucky as the sun shone and the walk’s route is very pretty."
